Do come and join us!
Stratford–upon–Avon Decorative and Fine Arts Society welcomes new members. Benefits of membership include 10 lectures per year (see Lectures), priority booking for Members for in–depth study days devoted to subjects of special interest, tours both at home and abroad, day visits to a variety of places – art galleries, gardens, historic houses – plus other social events. The Society also promotes and supports the arts in our area through the activities of Heritage Volunteers, Church Recorders and Young Arts.
Members receive a copy of the national quarterly magazine, the NADFAS Review, and, on production of their NADFAS membership card, have discounts at certain galleries and exhibitions, many of which are publicised in the NADFAS Review. The SADFAS year begins in March. We hold monthly lectures (excluding July and August) with speakers covering a variety of subjects. Meetings begin with announcements and news, followed by the lecture which lasts approximately 1 hour, and are held on the third Thursday of the month, both morning and afternoon. The morning lecture begins at 10.45 am, the afternoon at 1.30 pm with tea/coffee available beforehand. Our venue is The Civic Hall, Rother Street, Stratford–upon–Avon, CV37 6LU.
The 2012–2013 membership year runs from 1st March to 28th February. The annual subscription, either morning or afternoon membership, is £35.00 per person for the 2012–2013 season. Members may bring visitors to meetings during the year (£5.00 per person per lecture).
If you are considering joining the Society, why not come to lectures as a Visitor to get a taste of what we do? Please e–mail visitors@sadfas.org.uk for further information. If you do decide to join SADFAS, you will be most welcome – there is no waiting list.
